Welcome to Digital Life

Take Control of Your Life
Derrick Daniels

In 1988 I set three goals. Goal #1 was to live outside of the United States; goal #2 was entrepreneurship, and goal #3 was to build a business that I could operate from anywhere in the world.

Two years prior to setting these goals I was introduced to personal development via a recovery program. I absolutely loved learning about myself (why I do what I do, and why I think the way I think). So, since 1986 I have been on a journey of self-awareness.

Since my employment history began in 1980 I have changed career paths five times.  I started out as a Merchant Seaman, then I went into the aerospace industry with two of the prominent aerospace companies (McDonnell Douglass and Boeing).  While working in the aerospace industry I contracted self-employment fever.  I studied for and obtained a Real Estate, Insurance, and Securities licenses.

Both industries (aerospace and financial) went bust close to the same time I sought out an industry that I thought was stable and would pay enough which would allow me to continue my lifestyle.  I pursued and obtained an education in the medical industry as Radiologic Technologist only to find that industry to be totally saturated.  Today I know that the Universe was guiding me in the direction of what I truly wanted, self-employment.

I love to read.  I love adventure stories about personal development.  I really love the James Redfield Celestine Prophecy series. “Hinds Feet on High Places” by Hannah Hurnard ranks in the top five of my best books.  “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho is my absolute favorite.  I listen to the Alchemist audiobook about once a month.  There are many more books that I like but these are at the top of my list.  I watch very little television.  When I do sit in front of the boob-tube I usually find documentaries.  I limit my tv watching to sports, documentaries,  and public broadcast station (PBS).

I am above the 50 year age mark, but I still have and set goals.  My goals have shifted enormously from collecting a lot of stuff to giving and helping.  Giving to my community; giving to those who want to make a life change but aren’t economically able to afford coaching and mentoring, and helping my parents that are getting to the stage in their lives where they will need help.  A priority for me is to not have to place my parents in a retirement or convalescence home.

The digital age is the pathway that opens all the doors for me to realize all of my dreams, goals, and desires.  Working from a laptop with an internet connection allows me the freedom to travel whenever we desire, it gives me the ability to control my income.  I feel more secure working my internet business than I’ve ever felt working for any company in any industry.  I am now truly experiencing freedom and control to pursue the things that are important to me.  My life has materialized as a result of walking through my fear and doubt and doing something new and different.

The digital age is progressing at warp speed.  More opportunities are availing themselves by the day.  Through this blog, I will supply information about the digital industry and share about opportunities that are available to anyone who wishes a lifestyle change.  I will also have articles about personal development along with sharing my life and experiences.  I have personal development audios in the sound room, for all to enjoy, along with increasing one’s self-awareness. If anyone has suggestions about audios I welcome the suggestion.  I am always seeking to expand my self-awareness.  I do encourage questions and feedback, so chime in at any time that you feel the desire.  I look forward to journeying together.
