We live in an “Instant Gratification” society and we want everything fast. Many people spend a lot of time pursuing “Fast Money.” Nearly everyone wants to “Get Rich Quick.”
The wisest man that ever lived, King Solomon, had this to say about getting rich quick: “Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.” Proverbs 13:11
As a member of an entrepreneur organization, I listen and watch many of the young members ask “Is there a way to earn money fast?” I also witness many members spend lots of money on programs that they hope will get results without them having to do much work. Most of us seem to be very impatient to achieve our goal/dream.
Here’s the rub, I have found in my quest to achieve certain goals, when I got impatient and tried to find an “easier softer way” tipically it didn’t work out and I had to come back to the starting point and learn the lesson anyway. Now, when I have lessons to learn I simply slow down and learn the lesson. It saves me time, money, and the frustration of having to start over.
If I can impart any wisdom to the budding entrepreneurs is to take your time and build a solid business. Build a strong foundation first then construct your building. Learn the basics of business ownership. Carefully plan your construction and build it. When you maticulously build your company it will last through the entrepreneurial storms that are sure to come.
Don’t let this happen to you in a quest to “get rich quick.” Build your knowledge and business on a firm and solid foundation so that in the end you WIN!!!!! Remember the proverb of King Solomonl; “Wealth gather little by little will increase!”
